Netaa-niimid Aamookwe Persia Erdrich

K-1st Grade Teacher/Educator Representative

(Turtle Mountain Chippewa) earned her undergraduate degree in American Indian Studies with a focus in Ojibwe Language from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Persia first began working in immersion as the Program Coordinator for Ojibwemotaadidaa Omaa Gidaakiiminang, an adult Ojibwe language immersion program. After visiting Waadookodaading in 2013, Persia began to strive towards becoming an elementary immersion teacher. She is currently teaching kindergarten and earning her Masters in Teaching degree from Hamline University.
